A couple of years ago, a co-worker and myself were bored out of our minds and looking to the internet for entertainment, when we stumbled across something called Impact: Earth!.
We decided to destroy Dubai. It was that night that I decided to attempt writing a SciFi novel. This website is devoted to my journey to create an entire universe.
I am a lifetime Science Fiction nerd, but also a lifetime auto mechanic. I always want to know how something works.
Build a Universe?
Uhh…Yeah…Right.
To say I had some questions to answer would be an understatement.
My mother taught me at an early age that if I didn’t know the answer, I should look it up. I grew up when the human knowledge database was nearly 100% analog.
Today, there’s this thing they call the internet. And a bunch of brilliant people have created something called “Artificial Intelligence.”
With the questions I needed answers to, I tried AI and settled on Grok, the Artificial Intelligence created by xAI. My primary goal is to write the story grounded in as much factual science as possible.
My other goal is to make this 100% my own creation. NONE of what I post as my own will be written by AI. Only assisted.
As of this writing, Grok and I have been working on what is known as “world-building”. What I have posted here is the nth draft of the Prelude for this story.
I have settled on the Universe this tale will unfold upon.
“Prelude” and “Chapter One” are roughed out as I write this, but will no doubt need some polishing as this journey unfolds. Below are links to both the story and my discussions with Grok.
